Tucked away on a quiet street in the Monti Neighborhood of Rome, AP34 Monti apartment is a sunny Roman escape for up to 7 visitors in the Eternal City. Located in an 18th century palazzo, original terra cotta floors and exposed brick give its guests a sense of history while modern conveniences like air conditioning, complimentary wifi, and a washing machine provide all the comforts of home.
The Monti neighborhood in Rome – the area that was once the ancient Roman Suburra quarter of Rome just behind the ancient forums – is a lively part of the city full of restaurants, boutiques, cafes and bars, an exciting nightlife, and walking distance to many of the cities important monuments and transportation hubs. AP34 is the perfect apartment for the traveler in search of the best deal and best for a small family or a close group of friends.
The cosy home is made up of 5 distinct rooms. Upon entering the apartment on the 2nd floor (with elevator access), you enter into the entrance vestibule. On your right is the living room with dining table and kitchen. The living room features a pull-out sofa bed which can accommodate 2 guests. Off the living room is the triple bedroom with 3 single beds (one of which is lofted and accessibly by a steel ladder). On the left from the entrance vestibule is the bath with bathtub and antique tiles. Finally the double bedroom features a queen sized bed, wardrobe and separate TV.
The home is equipped with complimentary wifi, satellite TV, air conditioning, microwave and dishwasher, and a washing machine. The large windows let plenty of natural light into the home but are also sound-proofed to ensure street noise doesn’t inconvenience sleeping guests.
The Monti neighborhood is located adjacent the Colosseum and ancient Roman Forums which makes it a perfect home base for site seeing. Termini Station, Rome’s main transportation hub is also within walking distance, just down the street on Via Cavour. The Cavour Metro stop is just minutes from the vacation rental, making access to the rest of the city very easy. Take the metro to Piazza di Spagna and the Vatican and Vatican Museums by switching lines at Termini, or head directly to the industrial neighborhoods of Ostiense (Piramide Stop), Basilica San Paolo Outside the Walls (Basilica S. Paolo stop) or EUR (EUR Magliana stop).
We published a post on our favorite places to eat in Monti, including pasta (Urbana47), wine bar (La Barrique), gelato (Fattamorgana), Coffee (Bar Monti), and aperitivo (Suburra 1930). But some of the best experiences are those just picking up some wine, bread, cheese, and charcuterie from a local market and bringing it into the piazza for an informal meal al fresco. At the heart of Monti is Piazza Madonna dei Monti with a large, beautiful fountain. Here you’ll find the real pulse of the neighborhood, day or night.
For good shopping, you’ll find clothing boutiques for contemporary and vintage clothing, home furnishings, gifts, and food stuffs. Take a walk along streets like Via del Boschetto, Via Urbana, Via dei Serpenti and Via Panisperna. You’ll find something for every budget here.
The home is the great location for a ChefatHome experience – the most booked service by guests offered exclusively by Rome Accommodation.

Email contact was excellent/reassuring, helpful. Flat lacks storage space but is in other ways very convenient. A good space, very well situated in the city and in the district. Air conditioning works well – excellent acoustic separation.
