Have a need for speed? The Formula E returns to the streets of the EUR in south Rome for an adrenaline pumping, high speed, all-electric car race. Since 2011 Formula E has taken to the streets to promote a greener, cleaner form of car racing that takes place on city streets. From Hong Kong to Mexico City, all across the world, single drivers take to the streets of major cities to race for a better future for the environment. Formula E arrives in Rome on April 13, 2019.

Formula E race in Rome 2019

The race takes place in the southern neighborhood known as the EUR district – for Esposizione Universale di Roma – a rationally planned area from the early 20th century under the guidance of Benito Mussolini who sought to move the city’s administrative functions out of the historic center. The stark architecture contrasts with the center of Rome, but it is a very important part of the city which is highly worth the visit.

The total race route is 2.84km with a total of 27 turns. The race starts at the obelisk in Piazza Marconi and wraps around the buildings and streets, recrossing the large Via Cristoforo Colombo – the main artery that connects the southern district with the center of Rome.
