Past guests of our Via Giulia vacation rental will hardly recognize it after our recent apartment makeover.

So what’s new? Well, how about a whole new bedroom; a larger, more functional open kitchen; loads of modern artcooler colors that contrast with the warmth of the historic building; and updated furnishings that will make for a more comfortable stay for future guests. With over a decade of experience welcoming visitors to Rome, we know what the guest of 2017 is looking for in a vacation rental. So we’ve made sure to include everything in this new apartment makeover.

The Via Giulia vacation apartment was the first apartment added to our collection, which as grown to over 40 holiday apartment rentals in over 10 years. The newly renovated apartment is located near the end of the glamorous Via Giulia, a tranquil, prestigious address in the center of Rome. Within minutes from the apartment guests can reach Castel Sant’Angelo and the Vatican by crossing the Tiber on Ponte Sant’Angelo. Or they can walk to Campo de’ Fiori and Piazza Navona along Via Giulia.

While we reorganized the space to suit the needs of our guests better, some things stayed the same. The apartment still offers guests complimentary WiFi access, air-conditioning, a CD/aux stereo, washing machine, and our attentive staff who are just a phone call away.

Before

The apartment was originally designed with warm hues, antique prints, and a large common space. But over the years we learned from our guests that the space could be economized better with a second bedroom and the small, typical Italian kitchen needed to be larger. We listened to these comments and took them into consideration for the apartment makeover.

After

The addition of a second bedroom and the open kitchen were the biggest improvements made to the apartment. Our designer, Sara Lollini, breathed new life into the historic walls of the 17th century palazzo with a cooler palette, modern art and updated fixtures and furnishings.

You’ll enter the apartment by passing through an original brick arch that opens into the living room and open kitchen. The modern kitchen is fully equipped for preparing all of your tasty meals. The living room includes a dining table, flat screen TV with satellite, and a pull-out sofa bed. Off the living room you can reach both bedrooms (1 with a double bed and 1 with two twin beds) and the bath (with a shower cabin). The cosy apartment is perfect for several couples traveling together, or a family with children.
